As a Sommelier, you will be responsible for providing expert wine service and helping guests choose wines that complement their meal and preferences. You will work closely with the restaurant team to ensure high standards of beverage presentation, guest care, and overall service quality in line with the concept of the establishment.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • presenting and serving wines professionally in accordance with service standards
  • advising guests on wine selection based on menu choices, personal preferences, and pairing principles
  • explaining wine characteristics, origins, vintages, and tasting notes in a clear and engaging way
  • ensuring proper wine presentation, opening, decanting, and pouring procedures
  • maintaining and monitoring the wine list in cooperation with restaurant management
  • checking wine stock levels and supporting storage, rotation, and cellar organization where applicable
  • working closely with chefs, restaurant managers, and service staff to enhance the overall dining experience
  • recommending premium wines, pairings, and special selections in a professional and guest-oriented manner
  • ensuring that glassware, service equipment, and wine presentation standards are properly maintained
  • responding to guest questions and requests with confidence, courtesy, and product knowledge
  • supporting the restaurant in maintaining a refined and polished service atmosphere

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • previous experience as a Sommelier or in a wine-focused restaurant service role
  • strong knowledge of wines, grape varieties, wine regions, vintages, and food pairing principles
  • confident and professional guest communication skills
  • high standards of presentation, service etiquette, and attention to detail
  • ability to work closely with the front-of-house team in a fast-paced dining environment
  • well-groomed appearance and strong hospitality mindset
  • wine certification or formal sommelier training is an advantage
  • reliability, professionalism, and a genuine passion for wine and guest service
