As a Dairy Worker, you will support the day-to-day care of dairy cattle and assist with the routine tasks involved in milk production. Your work will help ensure that animals are handled properly, production areas remain clean and organized, and daily dairy operations are carried out efficiently and responsibly.
Your responsibilities may include:
- assisting with milking procedures in accordance with farm routines and hygiene standards
- feeding dairy cattle and supporting general daily care of the animals
- observing animals and reporting signs of illness, injury, stress, or unusual behaviour to supervisors
- helping to maintain clean, safe, and hygienic conditions in milking areas, barns, feeding zones, and related facilities
- handling and cleaning milking equipment and basic farm tools properly and responsibly
- supporting movement, positioning, or routine handling of cattle where required
- assisting with the collection, storage, or handling of milk in accordance with farm procedures
- contributing to general maintenance, cleaning, and support tasks within the dairy operation
- following animal welfare, workplace safety, and hygiene procedures at all times
- working reliably as part of the farm team to maintain steady and efficient daily production
Qualifications and Requirements:
- previous experience in dairy farming, animal care, agriculture, or a similar practical role is an advantage, but not always required
- physical stamina and willingness to carry out manual work in a farm environment
- basic understanding of animal care, cleanliness, and safe working practices
- responsible and calm approach when working with livestock
- ability to follow instructions and perform routine tasks consistently
