As a Bricklayer, you will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, or similar materials to build and repair structural and non-structural elements of construction projects. You will work according to technical specifications and site requirements while helping to ensure quality workmanship, stability, and safe execution of all assigned tasks.
Your responsibilities may include:
- laying bricks, blocks, or stone in accordance with project drawings, measurements, and construction standards
- preparing mortar, surfaces, and materials for masonry work
- building or repairing walls, partitions, facades, foundations, chimneys, or other masonry structures
- checking alignment, levels, spacing, and overall accuracy of completed work
- reading and interpreting technical drawings, site instructions, and layout markings where required
- cutting and shaping building materials to fit structural or design requirements
- maintaining tools, materials, and work areas in a safe and organized condition
- cooperating with supervisors and other construction workers to support smooth site operations
- following all workplace safety procedures, protective equipment requirements, and construction regulations
- assisting with general site preparation or related support tasks where needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- previous experience as a Bricklayer or in a similar masonry or construction role
- practical knowledge of brickwork, blockwork, mortar application, and masonry techniques
- ability to work from technical drawings, measurements, and site instructions
- good attention to detail and commitment to accurate, durable workmanship
- understanding of construction site safety and proper tool handling
- physical stamina and willingness to work in outdoor and active site conditions
- reliability, discipline, and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- trade training, certification, or relevant hands-on experience is an advantage
